Combs and surrounding villages have a lively community with plenty of clubs, groups and societies that welcome new members.
If you're interested in having a page, or a few pages, for your non-profit club, group or society, please get in touch. We train you up so you can keep your pages up-to-date or take care of them for you.
Battisford & District Gardening Club
Generally meets at Battisford community centre on the first monday of each month, with plenty of other activities throughout the year. New Members always welcome.
Combs History Club
The history group started in 2010 with a few local residents meeting each month. Our meetings have varied from talks, walks and visits. The aim of the history group is to encourage villagers to find out about the history of the village they live in and its inhabitants.
Battisford Walking Group
Join us on the first Sunday of every month for a 4-5 mile walk through the lovely Suffolk countryside. New members welcomed.
We are part of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organisation. Lions were founded in Chicago in 1917 and now have 1.35 million members in more than 200 countries. Stowmarket and District Lions Club is one of the largest in the UK and Ireland.
Battisford and District Cricket Club
Formed in 1973, we now have 7 teams, including a ladies team and three junior age groups. Find us at the Gardeners Arms Meadow, Moats Tye. You are all invited to join us every Friday evening at 6.30pm to have a go at ‘Easy Cricket'. Anyone can play! Just turn up! We achieved "Clubmark" Status in 2012. Click our name above or find us on Facebook to learn more.
Stowmarket and District Camera Club
Stowmarket & District Camera Club is a small, active and long established club for those interested in photography. We have a membership of around 25 people with a wide range of ages, backgrounds and photographic interests and we would like to increase that membership.
