The history group started in 2010 with a few local residents meeting each month. Our meetings have varied from talks, walks and visits. The aim of the history group is to encourage villagers to find out about the history of the village they live in and its inhabitants.
The history group has been working hard in the background over the past few years collecting information and photos of the village. We now have a large collection of photos and stories of life in the village. We put on a display each year at the village fete held in July of any new documents that have been given to us or any interesting facts about the village we have researched. So please come along and have a browse. If you can help in any way to research or share any photos or stories then please contact us.
We welcome new members who have a curiosity to find out more about the village and local area. If you were born or have lived in the village and can help us with the local history, we would love to hear from you.
