Following a ruling by Mid Suffolk District Council, the boundary of Stowmarket will be changed to include land earmarked for major new housing developments.
Expanding the boundary will mean land, which had previously been in the parishes of Onehouse, Combs, Haughley, Creeting St Peter and Badley, will now be part of Stowmarket.
The town council had applied for the expansion as the developments lie on the outer reaches of the boundary – a move which attracted strong opposition from Combs and Onehouse parish councils…
